Branding Work: Magnolia Rouge

I had the pleasure of designing a new logo for a sweet and very talented New Zealand stationer – Kate of Ruby and Willow. This logo was designed for her magazine, Magnolia Rouge and it is definitely one of my favorites!

Stamps

For those of you sending out save the dates or invitations soon, stamps have increased by a penny (effective Jan. 27, 2013); so the new First-Class letter rate is 46 cents, and postcards are now 33 cents. If you are not having custom stamps made, be sure to stock up on your favorite Forever stamps. Here are a couple of my favorite ones:

It is so SO exciting to see the calligraphy I did for Kacie and Dave’s sweet wedding (planned by the wonderful Ritzy Bee team) featured on Martha Stewart Weddings last week!!! Yep, I broke all the rules and had Starbucks, a big lunch, and a cupcake to celebrate this one! One step closer to a BIG goal of mine!

Happy Friday and YAY! for a productive week! Lots of lovely envelopes are headed out the door; and I am finishing up two monogram designs and a beautiful invitation suite today! I also had the best lunch with this fabulous lady; and I am looking forward to a fun weekend with my family that will definitely include some Just Dance 4 on the Wii

And I am so thankful for all the features this week! It is so exciting and fun to work with so many talented and wonderful people!

I had the pleasure of working with Ashley Baber and Lisa Hladish on this fun splurge vs. save style shoot featured on Inspired by This. I absolutely love this monogram – it may just be my favorite so far

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I had a very relaxing holiday break (hope you did too); and I am ready to put nib and ink to paper and get rolling! My 2013 goals are almost done and I look forward to sharing more of my life as a full-time calligrapher, wife and mama with you!

One project that I am really excited about is a collaboration with a sweet friend of mine, Annette Thurmon. Not only is she a fabulous gown designer, Annette is one of the sweetest people I know! I love her enthusiasm for life and love for God!

Last fall, Annette mentioned to me that she was writing a book about love and marriage, and asked me to do the calligraphy for the cover, chapter titles, and Bible verses included in the book. I was thrilled!!! I loved working with Annette on this and we have more ideas in the works that I cannot wait to share with you!

Featured: Southern Weddings V5 (part II)

I was super thrilled when Emily, the Creative Director of Southern Weddings Magazine (and my very sweet virtual friend ) asked me to do some calligraphy for her wedding invitations. Emily shared her ideas for the look she desired; and I immediately had the design mapped out in my mind, which transferred beautifully onto paper.

I did the calligraphy for Emily and John’s names, their 2-letter monogram, and the “RSVP” for the response card. Then, Jessica of Magpie Paper Works created the most beautiful and stunning invitation suite, adding the calligraphy to the overall design!

Emily also added the monogram to her wedding programs and these cute poppers!
